Team History

Established in 1996 by Dr Brian Cottier (1951-2009) then CEO of our host organisation, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, NATCANSAT, known then as the National Cancer Services Analysis Team, became a provider of health informatics with early work focussed around radiotherapy services. As such the organisation is recognised as the key provider of radiotherapy information in the UK.

Today the service, renamed The National Clinical Analysis and Specialised Applications Team, works within the NHS which contributes to its sense of worth towards the improvement of patient care. As a not-for-profit organisation, revenues are reinvested into the organisation.
